I always took this song to be that they had a whirlwind romance for 2 weeks that blew up and now something like 10 years later they’re both married to other people and happen to be next door neighbours but they never really stopped wanting each other, so “your wife waters flowers, I wanna kill her” is saying “you have such a perfect wife and I want to kill her because she gets to be with you and I don’t” and then in the second chorus adding “my husband is cheating” to it makes it worse because she’s saying all this has happened and you have a good wife but I have a bad husband and I’m so angry at the whole situation. “I love you it’s ruining my life” also plays into that. Having to still love you when we’re both married to other people and seeing you every day with her is killing me

Personally i think the part where she switches the words to comment on my sweater and my husband is cheating i wanna kill him is the (water flowering wife) seeing Taylor at the mailbox and saying that to Taylor. Cause a man is not gonna usually comment on sweaters and clothes like that. That is usually a woman to woman kinda thing. I don't know just my theory.

its okay to share your story as an artist and musician as well to resonate with the lyrics bc is for people like you, rising stars artists musicians etc, that this song exists in the first place; yoongi wanted to give his juniors a little pat on the back, say to them that its okay to feel like sometimes the road they choose might be too much, too lonely, but as he said in his lyrics, it is a flower road and eventually everything is going to be okay… anyway, i hope you liked it and please continue to enjoy bts’ music and message!

He flew 14 hours to do one song for Army. Not only was it his last performance with Army, it was also his first performance without his 6 brothers. I don't know if you noticed his eyes glistening with tears when he came up through the floor. I cried when I first saw this video, probably the first 10+ times.
